Ruby Neri - Ruby Rose Neri (born 1970) is an influential contemporary American sculptor and painter renowned for her large-scale, vibrant ceramic vessels that explore themes of raw femininity, psychological intimacy, and the human form. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area to a family of artists (father was Manuel Neri and mother is Susan Neri), she is a pivotal figure in the modern revival of ceramics within contemporary art.
She lives and works in Los Angeles.
Her works are held in the permanent collections of major American institutions, including: The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles; The Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, The Brooklyn Museum, New York; The de Young Museum, San Francisco'; The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Arkansas, etc.
