Barbara Bloom (b. Los Angeles, 1951) is a conceptual artist. Since the 1970s, Barbara Bloom has used photography, installation, film and books as a means of looking at issues of collecting, museology, design, taste and our investment in the objects with which we surround ourselves. She is most known for her installation works that have been exhibited internationally. For nearly twenty years she lived in Europe, first in Amsterdam then Berlin. She now lives in New York City with her husband, the writer-composer Chris Mann, and their daughter.
